Hastelloy C-276

Hastelloy C-276 is a nickel chromium molybdenum alloy containing tungsten, with extremely low silicon and carbon content. It is considered a versatile corrosion resistant alloy with good resistance to local corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, oxidizing, and reducing media. It can be applied in many chemical working conditions, such as iron chloride, copper chloride, heat polluted solutions (organic and inorganic), formic acid, acetic acid, seawater, and saline solutions. It is one of the few materials that can resist corrosion from wet chlorine gas, hypochlorite, and chlorine dioxide.
